Bear is proud to announce our latest addition to our mattress lineup, the Bear Elite Hybrid. Our new Bear Elite Hybrid is an ultra luxurious innerspring and foam mattress that provides sophisticated cooling, comfort, and support by utilizing innovative technologies. With the choice of three different comfort-levels, the Elite Hybrid can accommodate all body types, sleep positions, and personal feel preferences.
Hybrid mattresses are viewed as a more traditional mattress compared to all foam mattresses. The beauty of sleeping on a hybrid mattress is that it combines the latest innovative foams for ergonomic comfort with durable, supportive innersprings. Hybrids are typically the choice for sleepers looking for cloud-like comfort, durable support, and a luxury hotel experience.
1. A Mattress For All
Sleep is important and how we position ourselves throughout the night is no different. Most sleepers don’t automatically sleep as soon as they lie down. Their sleep style plays a big factor in how much rest they get from night to night. Good news for them, the Bear Elite Hybrid is great for all sleeping positions. Whether you sleep on your side, back, stomach, or a combination of those three, you’ll be able to naturally fall asleep no matter which position you choose or prefer.
Measuring at 14” and consisting of 6 layers, the Bear Elite Hybrid is designed to support you while you sleep throughout the night. Whether you start on your side,wake up on your stomach, or spend the entire night on your back, you’ll be able to get your desired amount of rest as soon as your eyes close. 2.
2. Suitable for all Bed Bases
Gone are the days when mattresses mostly lay on box springs. Today’s sleeper has a ton of options when it comes to how to support your mattress. Whether it be a foundation paired with a frame, a platform bed, or an adjustable bed, the Bear Elite Hybrid can be supported by most (again, not your old box spring). Not only do these bed bases provide support but also allow for maximum airflow underneath the mattress. The Bear Elite Hybrid is made of quality foams and in order for the sleeper to receive all the benefits, the mattress needs suitable support.
(For the foundations we recommend that the slats of the foundation be no more than 4”apart.)
3. The Coolest Mattress Ever
Similar to the other mattresses at Bear, the Elite Hybrid will keep you cool and comfortable all night long.
While all mattresses at Bear come with cooling technology, the Elite Hybrid takes it to the next level to keep you cool and comfortable all night long. The Bear Elite Hybrid has a hypersoft hand quilted cushion cover. This cover is made with our Sleep Recovery Technology, which is also found in our other three mattresses, aids in both cooling and recovery as well.
Along with our Sleep Recovery Technology, The Bear Elite Hybrid quilted, tufted cover includes Phase Change Material (PCM). With the use of PCM cooling technology, the Bear Elite Hybrid cover fabric regulates mattress temperature and facilitates crisp sleep conditions. PCMs are chilling molecules that are topically applied to the fabric in the finishing process. By being in the cover, the molecules melt from a solid to liquid state when they come into contact with the body heat. This creates a cooling sensation and manages bed temperature all night long.
The Bear Elite Hybrid also utilizes a zoned, contour cut support layer. This layer is cut creating 5 different zones to offer differentiated support for different parts of the body; the cuts in the shoulder area provide more give, the cut in the lumbar area provides more support. The cuts in the foam also increase airflow throughout the mattress helping create a cooler night's sleep.
4. Great Edge Support
Some people like living life on the edge. No judgment. Sometimes that lifestyle can lead them to the edge of their mattress. Now whether you might be sleeping close to the edge or sitting on it, you’ll need a mattress that over time will be able to support as you’re doing so.
The Elite Hybrid has individually encased coils contour to your curves for exceptional comfort and support. Each coil reacts to your body’s pressure independently.
5. Say Goodbye To Back Pain
As stated before, the search for a mattress can be difficult. One of the reasons is that firmness levels on mattresses vary. Not all mattresses are alike and not all bodies are built the same. With this in mind, not everyone prefers the same type of firmness level.
In terms of firmness, we rate our mattresses on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most firm. We understand that bodies vary and “firm” isn’t a one size fits all and that having a mattress with your preferred firmness level goes a long way. However, there are times where we have the perfect mattress but wish it was a bit more firm or soft. Fear not, the Bear Elite Hybrid is offered three different firmness levels - Soft - 5/10, Medium 6/10, and Firm 7/10. With these three options you can have a mattress closest to your needs. So you can sleep well knowing that not only can this mattress provide good sleep but excellent comfort as well.
6. No Tossing and Turning
When you finally are able to lock in and have that sleep you’ve been trying to get, you don’t want to be awakened in the middle of the night. Whether you are sharing the mattress with a pet or another sleeper, you want any action they caused to be kept at a minimum.
As previously mentioned, the individually-encased innerspring unit comprises over 780 coils (in queen) that provide support and comfort. The individually-encased coils help reduce motion transfer and can provide more pin-point support as they can move independently. The perimeter of the coils are reinforced with a higher gauge to provide extra edge support to prevent roll-off.
With the Individually encased coil spring, the Elite Hybrid offers little to no motion transfer. So others can hop on and off the mattress without keeping you interrupted at night or interrupting your sleep.
With regard to the motion transfer, Derek Hales from Nap Lab said, “Hybrid mattresses typically struggle more with motion transfer, given their encased coils support systems. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Bear Elite Hybrid dealt with motion transfer extraordinarily well.”
