As a professional Mountain-Ultramarathon Runner I often train by running up to 30-miles in a single day on hilly trails. Recovery between these demanding Long Runs is paramount for success in my sport!
A native of Oregon, and ultra-marathon runner, Sage started running at the age of 12 when his soccer coach told him he was "better off without the ball." After high school Sage traveled across the country to run for LetsRun.com. Sage not only qualified for the 2008 US Olympic trials marathon, but he also won the Ivy League Conference title for 10,000m on the track and qualified as an individual for the 2007 NCAA Championships in cross country. He was the youngest Men's qualifier at the 2008 US Olympic Marathon Trials at the age of 21.
After college Sage ran professionally on the roads at the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project team from August of 2009 to February 2012.
